May 17th 2009 saw the opening of a new Grafton Hunt Racecourse at Manor Farm, Whitfield, near Brackley, Northants, NN13 5TQ.

It is 48 years since the Grafton Hunt had their own course inside their country.

Martin Clarke, the landowner, has long dreamed of having a course on his own land. The preparation has been underway for some 18 months under the guidance of Tony Howland - Head Groundsman at Cheltenham Racecourse.

Much of the work has been done by Martin and with water on site and an irrigation system they will be able to water if required. The father and son team of Roger and Andrew Clarke have built the fences as they do at Kimble and Kingston Blount - two other courses in the South Midlands Area. 250 people attended the open day in September 2008 and there was unanimous approval for what has been done.

2010 has three scheduled meetings on the new course; South Midlands Area Club moves from Tweseldown on 7th February, Bicester with Whaddon Chase on 21st March and The Grafton on 16th May.
