17 May 2009 saw the opening of a new Grafton Hunt Racecourse at Manor Farm, Whitfield, near Brackley, Northants, NN13 5TQ.

It was 48 years since the Grafton Hunt had a course inside their country.

Martin Clarke, the landowner, has long dreamed of having a course on his own land. The preparation had been underway for some 18 months under the guidance of Tony Howland - Head Groundsman at Cheltenham Racecourse.

Much of the work has been done by Martin and with water on site and an irrigation system they will be able to water if required. The father and son team of Roger and Andrew Clarke have built the fences as they do at Kimble and Kingston Blount - two other courses in the South Midlands Area. 250 people attended the open day in September 2008 and there was unanimous approval for what has been done.

The course played host to the South Midlands Area Club, Bicester with Whaddon Chase, Farmers Bloodhounds and The Grafton.   The final meeting at the course was The Grafton on Sunday 14 May 2017, part of the course having been requisitioned by HS2.
